Day 55: So much is going on!

Being busy is good news.  We earned our first 2 team builder bonuses this week thanks to Heather and Colin!  It was great to receive a $200 check in the mail for doing nothing!!  We also have 3 new consultants on the team :)  We would like to welcome:  Jesse, Karen and Eve!!  One more consultant and we will be region consultants.  Yippee!!!

Day 51: Our first business presentation

We traveled to Newark, NJ down route 80 to see our first business presentation this past Tuesday.  We thought when we showed up at the Best Western that we would be in one of those small meeting rooms.  Boy were we wrong!!!  The room had probably about 1,000-1,500 chairs set up and they were pretty much all filled when the presentation started.  


So, the business presentation was totally awesome with co-founders Chris Chambless and Jere Thompson, Jr. doing parts of the presentation along with other top Ambit Energy National Consultants, Brian McClure, Ray Montie, and some others!


But before the presentation we went to the restaurant in the hotel to have some dinner and were seated next to the top income earner for Ambit Energy, Brian McClure!! He was having dinner with someone, so we didn't crash their table.  


Then we were on our way out and a gentleman stopped me because of my Ambit Energy shirt and asked how long we've been in the business.  I explained how we all are still new marketing consultants, but that we were excited to be at our first business presentation.  He introduced himself as Tim Bolen and his story was amazing!  14 months in the business and already he and his wife have a residual check around $4,000 coming in every month!

Day 47: Check #3 arrived!

Check #3 includes both our Jump Start #3 Bonus and Jump Start #4 Bonus!!!  In case you are keeping count...we've earned 3 checks so far...totaling $350 :)  Our initial investment into the company was $400 and $30 for a start up kit.  We are $80 away from making back our initial investment!!! After that it's all gravy :)  Of course we have to rely on our customers...but remember with Ambit Energy we are only relying on our customers to use their electricity every day and pay their bill when it arrives!!!  Remember with Ambit Energy we AREN'T SELLING ANYTHING!!

Day 45: So busy...

Well...the last 2 weeks of school (work) were busier than a normal last 2 weeks because of all of the moving and packing that needed to be done.  But now that it's finished, it's back to Ambit time!  Lots of stuff ready for next week.  :)  Stay tuned!!

Day 30: 2 are energized!!!

Two of our customers along with us now have Ambit Energy officially as their supplier.  13 more light bulbs = the average of their electric bills will be credited to our electric bill!!!!

So, what did I do as the passenger of the car on a 6 hour ride to Pittsburgh?  Text as many people as I could that I had phone numbers of in my phone.

Day 6: Getting Started as Ambit Energy Independent Consultants

Do we know anyone that uses electricity?
Well...duh...YES!


Do we know anyone that wants to reduce their electric bill or possibly have it eliminated?
Well...duh...YES!


We need to get 15 customers to switch their supplier to Ambit Energy and we get the average of their bills credited to our electricity bill.  This really is a no brainer!


Where do we start?  Mom and Dad!  I call Mom...Mom, can you check your electric bill, Andy and I just switched to Ambit Energy as our suppliers and we saved money, so we want to see if we could save you too.  Mom:  I don't know where the bill is right now.  ME:  Okay, bring it to Gram's tomorrow and we'll take a look at it.  Mom:  We figured out the thing with your Grandmother's electricity bill, she has the electric....  ME:  No, Mom...BRING YOUR BILL.  Mom:  I think we signed a contract.  ME:  Great, bring it anyway.  


So, we checked out their bill and they are under contract until June, when they will become happy Ambit Energy customers saving themselves money!  That wasn't supposed to be so difficult...it was my Mom!!

Day 1: How did Andy and I become Ambit Energy Independent Consultants?

It began in March the night of the Pocono Mountain School Board meeting when they proposed reducing the number of math teachers by 43 in our district.  After working there for 11 years, I didn't think I would have to worry about being furloughed, but with that high of numbers I was close.  So, what did I do?  When the meeting was over the first person I called was my brother, a math teacher in another school district, to see if there were any openings in his district.  My next phone call was to my friend, a new Principal in a different district, to see if he was hiring.  The next day Brandy called and said she had an opportunity for Andy and I to make money in case we were going to be furloughed.  I didn't really listen yet, because I didn't want to spend money, but I wish I listened more.  


Along comes the April electric bill and I realized that the bill was getting larger each month compared to the same month the previous year even though we were using the same or less kilowatts.  I didn't know how this was possible, but I knew that I needed to look into it and I decided to listen to Brandy about that energy "thing" she was talking about.


She didn't have to do much convincing of me to switch to Ambit Energy because their 6.8 cents KWH rate was a million times better than what we were paying to Energy Plus at 13.9 cents KWH.  Then she described how we could make money by becoming consultants and possibly wipe out our electric bill.  So, I was ready to listen.
